Creature Command

Creature Command is a game developed using the Amazon Echo Show by a team of college students for Bradley University’s yearly Fuse Interactive Media Show. The game featured fun colorful monsters that you could give voice commands to in order to have them battle each other on the Echo Show’s screen. I worked as a programmer and this was my first experience working with and Echo device.

Everything in the game was interacted with through voice commands, taking advantage of the unique Echo system and the advantages that Alexa’s voice recognition software afforded us.

Since our target audience for Fuse is a younger audience with a shorter game we aimed for a simple experience with fun, colorful characters that children would enjoy! We worked to avoid over-complicating what would be a 1-3 minute experience, while still making it fun and engaging.
